Project Memorial

I'm going back to zero, starting all over again for my presentation for the late Nanay Bining, using windows movie maker, I hopeto be able to finish the movie just in time for may 25 event which is what we call here in the philippines called babang-luksa...

i'm using these resources: http://www2.le.ac.uk/offices/ld/resources/presentation/visual-aids , and I'm copying some points to consider from this website.

Video (DVD or VHS)

Video gives you a chance to show stimulating visual information. Use video to bring movement, pictures and sound into your presentation. Always make sure that the clip is directly relevant to your content. Tell your audience what to look for. Avoid showing any more film than you need.
Designing visual aids
There are many different rules for designing visual aids, some of which will apply directly to different kinds of equipment. In general, sticking to the following guidelines will produce high quality visual images:
  • use one simple idea for each visual;
  • make the text and diagrams clear and readable;
  • avoid cluttering the image;
  • keep your images consistent (use the same font, titles, lay out etc. for each image);
  • make sure your images are of a high quality (check for spelling and other errors).
Always remember that an audience should be able to understand a visual image in a matter of seconds.

And finally ... practice

Always check your equipment to make sure that it:
  • works;

Which way to happiness?

I was angry and frustrated.Until now, I cannot move on from the rejection and I've lost meaning of my everyday existence. For an hour, I sulked and listened to songs that became my exhaust valves just to take out those feelings of being useless and unimportant. I resolved to myself to prioritize myself first before the needs or feelings of others but this made me feel worse about myself, the need for revenge will sure create a black hole within myself. I need a confirmation that I am needed and I am relevant.

I decided to eventually get into this website and hopefully get some insights and eventually discover my own worth and salvage whatever self-esteem I still have within me.

I'm a regular to this site: http://www.gretchenrubin.com/

I hope something good will happen good to me, at least. I'm in my most 'down moment" today.

Five Facebook Rules I Follow

Rule No. 01 Don't be a bully

     Facebook is indeed a great way to get our voices heard and our opinions read, but somehow, nakakalimutan nating mag-preno kapag ang emotions ang nangingibabaw. Let's say we focus on what has been done wrongly instead of hitting the other person below the belt.

Rule No. 02: No to excessive narcissism

     Fact: selfies are a great way to show how you used or wasted your time. One, two selfies at a time, okay. And selfies in the bathroom, selfies in bed #justwokeup #selfie or those selfies in the nude are plainly in poor taste.
     Remember, what we post now may come back to haunt us for the rest of our lives.

Rule No. 03: No to online plagiarism

     Let me tell you someone who copied a phrase in my Mothers' Day post on facebook. That post is a poem for Moms and in that poem there's a line which says: " And you have and will always love us beyond measure."
    That line, I saw it a couple of hours in one of my facebook friends' status, she got several likes for it. Someone even commented on her post: " True, ang love ng mga Nanay hindi masusukat."
    I was hurt by what she had done.
    Remember if you are to get somebody's statement, make sure you credit that person or SIMPLY USE YOUR OWN WORDS. Hind yung nagnananakaw ka ng idea ng ibang tao para maging impressive lang ang post mo sa facebook. It goes without saying that claiming the statement of others to be yours is simply being insensitive and disrespectful.

Rule No. 04: Let's be careful out there

     Don't put your mobile number and your email address for all the world to know, on facebook. Do not be too specific as to where you are, or where you're headed next. It goes without saying that facebook brings loved ones, friends, acquaintances or even strangers closer together, but the site can be a source of ill-intentioned strangers to take advantage of you. Personal safety and security should be your priority.

Rule No. 05: Be alive, don't be a zombie

    Remember the main purpose of facebook as mentioned in rule #04. Therefore your online life is only a reflection of your real life. Enjoy the goodness around you first, instead of making your life "look good" online.
     Finally, make sure that who we are online must only be a reflection of who we are in real life. Let's all get real.

Chicharon de Camiling

        When I was working for a small television back in 2010, I got the chance to explore new places and experience tasty dishes. In one particular episode, I produced a feature about the unique deep-fried pork skins of Camiling, Tarlac aptly named Chicharon de Camiling. I'm happy to share with you a few of the photos I have of that episode featuring this delicious delicacy.

Nothing could be more mouth-watering and so crispy on the skin yet tender on the inside than the chicharon (fried pork skins made in the town of Camiling, Tarlac.

Nothing is wasted by the Camilenos when they prepare Chicharon de Camiling. The oil where they deep-fry the pork skins is sold in bottles.

  and a few more photos....in the next post
